Egypt make history with African title and Olympic ticket; Kenya and Cameroon book 2027 World Cup spots

Egypt defeated Kenya 3-0 in the final of the CAVB Women's Volleyball African Nations Championship to claim their first continental title and secure a spot at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Kenya earned silver and a berth at the 2027 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Cup. Cameroon took bronze and also booked a World Cup ticket. This means Africa will have three representatives at the next World Cup. Individual scoring leaders were Nada Ahmed Houssameldein with 14 points and Mariam Metwally Mohamed Morsy with 12 points for Egypt, while Veronica Adhiambo Oluoch scored 11 and Elizabeth Marian Sokoiyo scored 10 for Kenya.
